Parts Magician Client User Guide

  1. Introduction
  2. Parts Magician is unique, in that it can interrogate all members spare parts computer based inventory, and reply to the business making the request. The request may be made to specific areas. E.G, NSW, the whole of Australia, or even the world.

    Information supplied when the request is made, is completely up-to-date as at the time the request is made.

    Requests for parts may be cancelled at any time. This is usually done when you have purchased the part on agreement with a member of the system. Removing the request lets everybody know the request has been met.

     

  3. Getting Connected
  4. Are you connected?

    Parts magician may already be connected to the Internet, if so its Icon at the bottom right of screen will look like .

    I am not connected!

    If Parts Magician is not connected to the Internet your icon will look like .

    To get connected:

      1. Connect your computer to the internet
      2. Double Click on the Icon
      3. Select Select Login button.
        This will open the login window
      4. Enter in your Login and Password
        (Your representative will asign you a Login a Password)
      5. Select the Login button
      6. You will know you are logged into the system because the Parts Magician icon will look like .

  1. Searching for a Product

      1. Select the New button
      2. This will open up a New Spares Request Window.
      3. Enter in the required Details
      Where you Want to Search
      Type of part you are searching for
      Part Number, Description and Qty of the part you are looking for

      Note: Description is not required


      Select send button to initiate request.

  1. Removing a Request
Once you have organized to get the part you should remove the request from the system.

    1. Select the Sent Requests Tab.

    2. Highlight the product to remove

    3. Select Remove Request button


  1. Managing Requests

      To Manage users Requests:

      1. Highlight the product

      Then do any of the following:

      View Suppliers Details

      You can view details of the person requesting the part; You can either give them a call or Reply to their Request online:

      Reply to the Request

      You can Reply to a request online by selecting the Reply button.

      Ignore Request

      If you do not have the requested part in stock you can ignore the request by selecting the ignore Request button and it will be removed from your Received Requests list.

  1. Company Details

      Your Company details can be found by selecting the Config button. This lists details such as your phone number, fax & email address.

      There is a notes field for you to add extra details that you may like to show other dealers. This field usually shows discounts offered. E.g. Normal discount is 15%, negotiable on older dead stock.
